Advisory Board Meeting
The CO2SMART Industry Advisory Board (IAB) Meeting was held on October 23, 2025, during the SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) in Houston. The meeting provided an overview and update on the Center’s status, highlighted ongoing research projects presented by faculty, and included an IAB membership presentation outlining value propositions and capabilities. The session concluded with lunch and an open discussion, offering an excellent opportunity for members and participants to engage directly with the CO2SMART team.

Center Launch Meeting
The Kick-Off Meeting of the Center was a two-day event held at the USC Campus in Los Angeles on February 18-19, 2025. The meeting brought together the Center faculty and researchers, current and prospective IAB members, and NSF representatives to review and select proposed projects responsive to the priority needs of the IAB members. Center Planning Meeting
The Planning Meeting for the CO2SMART Center was held on September 12-13, 2023. The purpose of the meeting was to gather industry feedback on the Center’s research directions and thrust areas to best serve industry needs. The meeting also introduced prospective members to the format of the Center’s annual IAB meetings. The industry feedback was incorporated into a Phase I Center proposal, which was awarded by NSF in June 2024.
